Are you a Lead Front-end Developer interested in working technologies such as Angular, Node/Express, ES6, Jade, NPM, Grunt, Docker and Sass to build a world-class e-commerce experience for our customers? We are looking for an expert in current and emerging front end technologies, in particular single page applications and Angular JS plus the ability to communicate best practice to colleagues, while leading by example with your hands on skills and great development practices.
Working closely with the Product Director and VP Technology you’ll be tasked with bringing product design into production and delivering a great customer experience. Our client, an already well known e-commerce start-up, has ambitious growth plans and an interesting roadmap which includes taking a mobile first approach to design and performance.
As a Lead Front-end Developer it is vital you still enjoy writing, reviewing and supporting code across all aspects of our solutions – Team leadership and architectural/technical direction setting are essentials, this is a hand’s on role, in a small but growing team. The best candidate will be able to show passion for the product you’re building as well as the quality of the code you write, tracking the impact of the products and features you ship and recapping to continually improve the customer experience.
You’ll be joining an pioneering team who work hard in a relaxed culture, the environment is supportive of flexible working and has a strong and collaborative vibe. You’ll get first-hand experience of rapid product development, amazing growth curves and everything else that comes with being part of a early, exciting product.
We believe the perfect candidate will be eager to learn, be fast-moving and practical with a passion for building great user experiences. He or she will have experience of working as a Senior front-end developer, ideally on a e/m-commerce product. They will need a deep experience in front-end technologies on all sorts of platforms, plus experience of how to tailor Angular applications to reduce the traditional SEO downsides of a rich front-end application couple with experience of RESTful APIs (ours is written in Ruby on Rails, latest version using JSON), so experience of this is highly desirable.
This is a unique opportunity to be heavily involved at a great stage of a young business, to make a major impact and to progress your career in to people management.
